The subscription you pay to join the Association, as a Registered, Partner or Junior member, currently provides Bee Diseases Insurance (BDI) cover for up to three colonies. S&DBKA welcomes all those interested in beekeeping to join us. We provide many services to members including honey extractor hire, a comprehensive library, and affiliated membership to the BBKA. We support beginners in getting started and meet monthly at the association out-apiary during the season of March to October and publish our own newsletter. Winter meetings are held locally within Southampton where invited speakers are able to pass on their knowledge and experience of beekeeping.
